Olathe, Kan., Aug. 24, 2016 – ELIAS Animal Health, a clinical stage development company advancing novel treatments for cancer in companion animals, today announced the initiation of a clinical trial to determine the safety and efficacy of ELIAS Cancer Immunotherapy (ECI™), as a treatment for B-cell lymphoma in dogs. The majority of canine lymphomas are derived from B cells. While lymphoma is one of the most responsive cancers to chemotherapy, permanent cures in dogs are extremely rare and remissions are short-lived. There is a need for safer, more effective treatments for this disease. The objective of this clinical trial is to determine whether ECI™ used in combination with chemotherapy produces better outcomes than treatment with chemotherapy alone.
