Jeffrey Bryan, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVIM-Oncology Professor, Oncology is the Director of the Comparative Oncology, Radiobiology, and Epigenetics Laboratory at the University of Missouri. The laboratory focuses on the comparative examination of cancers, from carcinogenesis mechanisms to biomarkers of disease and prognosis to novel therapy development. Dr. Bryan also leads trials in the imaging and immunotherapy of cancers, including malignant melanoma. Dr. Bryan is the Director of the new PET Imaging Center of the University of Missouri which will serve as a core center for radiotracer design and PET image generation for animals and plants. Dr. Bryan is a graduate of the University of California, Davis (BS, DVM), and the University of Missouri (MS, PhD).
Amanda Foskett, DVM, DACVIM Oncology is a veterinary oncologist at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C. She received her veterinary medical degree from the University of Florida. Following veterinary school, she completed a one-year rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Friendship Hospital for Animals, followed by a three-year medical oncology residency program with The Oncology Service. Dr. Foskett has a passion for comparative oncology and small animal internal medicine.
Lee Herron, DVM directs the Georgia Research Alliance’s (GRA) venture development program, which has launched 180 companies and attracted more than $1 billion in equity investment. Drawing on his own 17 years of entrepreneurial experience, he ensures that companies adopt a sound business strategy and operational plans. Dr. Herron serves on the board of numerous bio and life sciences companies and numerous advisory committees, and he was chairman of the 2017 Georgia BIO Life Science Summit. Dr. Herron is a graduate of the University of Georgia (DVM).
Noe Reyes, DVM is Chief Medical Officer and a member of our scientific advisory board. Dr. Reyes brings extensive experience as both a veterinarian and animal health researcher. He oversees the design and conduct of the company’s clinical trials and is the company’s medical liaison to veterinarians and veterinary oncologists. Previously, Dr. Reyes has served as medical director for Kindred Biosciences, a development-stage veterinary biopharmaceutical company, and in scientific positions with Achaogen and Theravance Biopharma, as well as the United States Army Veterinary Corps, where he was responsible for the medical care of military working dogs and equine at installations in California and Texas. Dr. Reyes is a graduate of the University of California, Davis (BS, DVM).
Ralph Richardson, DVM, DACVIM Internal Medicine and Oncology, served as Dean and CEO of the Kansas State University-Olathe campus from 2015-2019 and previously served as dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University from 1998-2015 where he continues as an emeritus faculty member. Prior to that, he served as a faculty member and head of the clinical sciences department at Purdue University, served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, and was in private practice in Miami, Florida. He is a Diplomate of Internal Medicine and a Charter Diplomate of the Specialty of Oncology in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Past President of the Veterinary Cancer Society and the American Association of Veterinary Clinicians and is actively engaged in public health and comparative medicine. Dr. Richardson is a graduate of Kansas State University (BS, DVM) and completed his post-graduate veterinary clinical training at Purdue University and the University of Missouri. He also trained in medical oncology at the University of Kansas Medical School.
Kevin Schultz, DVM, PhD Immunology, Medicine, Microbiology serves as Chair of our scientific advisory board. Kevin has previously served as chief scientific officer of Kindred Biosciences, chief scientific officer and head of global R&D at Merial, and executive director of worldwide animal science research and development at Merck. Prior to that, he was a Professor of Pathobiological Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and managed his own veterinary practice. Dr. Schultz serves as an industry consultant for human and animal health research and development, and was appointed as CEO of Pathens, LLC. He is also a Venture Fellow with the George Research Alliance. Dr. Schultz is a graduate of University of Florida (PhD), Purdue University (DVM), and he completed residencies at University of Pennsylvania and University of Florida.
Ron Schultz, PhD is a recognized leader on veterinary vaccines, virology and immunology. He currently serves as professor and chair of the Department of Pathobiological Sciences at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His primary emphasis of research focuses on the pathogenesis of viral infections in large and companion animals. Dr. Schultz is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University (BS, MS, PhD) and is an honorary diplomate from the American College of Veterinary Microbiology.
Zachary Wright, DVM, DACVIM Oncology is the Medical Director at Animal Diagnostics Clinic at VCA Hospitals in Dallas, Texas. He received his veterinary medical degree from Texas A&M University and completed a one year rotating small animal internship in medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Wright completed his residency in small animal oncology at Texas A&M University and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine-Oncology in 2008. He has published scientific articles and book chapters in small animal oncology and has served in multiple roles within the American College of Veterinary Medicine, including positions on the Board of Regents.
